There are very few XXL Freshman freestyles that stand each year. A lot of it is trash, that or I am old. Or both. Of course, Chance and Kendrick come to mind as great ones. J.I.D. - The Never Story though has been a regular listen for me lately. The album is great and so are his features with Earthgang. This tight freestyle is exactly what I'd expect from the young rapper from Atlanta.
