This week I hit my 201st day^ with my Apple Watch and 200th day in a row of closing three rings. The three rings are:
Move or active calorie burn: I set mine at 900, which ensures I have to actually workout to hit it
Exercise: Mine is set to 30 mins a day (the default)
Stand: Basically ensuring you get off your butt 12 times a day for at least a minute
Wearing a smart watch around 15 hours a day means I can get notices, control music while cooking, etc. But really it means I get to capture workout data. What follows is 200 days of activity by the numbers:
Average Move: 1162 Cal
Average Exercise: 71 Mins
Average Stand: 15
Total Exercise Calories Burned: 95,444
Total Exercise Hours: 238
Workouts
There are lots of options for tracking exercise (workouts), which I tried to employee to keep it interesting. It turns out walking is the easiest thing to do when staying home during a pandemic though. My top 6 workouts by total:
Walks/Hikes: 113
Runs: 43
Other: 26^^
Lifting: 18
Cycling:18
Swimming: 14
Workout Honorable Mentions: HIIT (11), Yoga (11), Soccer (3), Paddling (2), Dance (1)
^ The bought and set up the watch without enough time to hit my stand goal on the first day
^^ I started using Other in the Fall to track home improvement projects: painting, building a climbing wall, building a firewood shed, yard work, etc.
